Staten Island Hope Animal Rescue
Staten Island Hope Animal Rescue is a non-profit rescue group comprised of dedicated individuals, with a mission to rescue stray, feral or abandoned animals. Our emphasis is on Trap Neuter and Return (TNR) of feral cats and also neutering and finding homes for non-feral cats. This aspect of our rescue group decreases the local birth rate of new kittens, thereby, eliminating needless and cruel euthanization of wild felines that are non-adoptable for one or more reasons.
For us, getting the best treatment and results for our animals are what count most. Spaying/neutering one adult cat can save hundreds of unwanted kittens/adult cats from being euthanized. When possible we also try to place adoptable cats/dogs that are rescued off the streets. If you want to find out more information about the TNR programs in New York City some which offer free spaying/neutering for people with low income who want to adopt or for feral cats/junkyard dogs, check out this website: www.alleycats.org. or the www.aspca.org, click on new york city. Also check out the TNR information listed on our website for participating veterinarians and certificates that are available through our rescue group
